I'm not a big drinker, but I love a themed mixed drink. From Winter Warmers in business class to drinks before the panto, I run down my list of holiday drinks sampled on my blog:

as I note in the linked post: techs linger for *years* past their heyday. NFTs are still here, so they must be here to stay! I can buy vacuum tubes on Ali.

I checked out the first UK performance of RIDE THE CYCLONE, and it was absolutely worth it. Full thoughts on my blog:

This, 100%. I think there are many people turning to generative AI out of genuine love of characters—other writers’ or even their own—and somehow not getting that this is fundamentally different from fanart or an honest creative expression of that love.
The hardest conversation I had about this was when a reader prompted out slop as "fanart" for one of my books. She was gushing about how much she loved the characters, and I had the unpleasant task of explaining I couldn't accept it, and I would rather see stick figures she drew herself than this.

I would love this trailer to be a massive bait and switch but we don’t live in that world do we.
Shower thought: if Andy Serkis' Animal Farm is this bad, how bad will Andy Serkis' Hunt for Gollum be?

It's the best version to date.

One reason why Batman: The Animated Series made such an impression on me as a kid is because the title cards weren't just cool-looking, but put the creators' names on full display. It indicated that people MADE these. It was their job to write and draw and create. That had a heck of an impact.
