New article out in World Politcs. We analyze how different groups react to varying programs of social democratic parties. We find less trade-offs than often assumed. Generally, more left-progressive programs increase support among social democratic potentials

Every extra profit incentive to politicians degrades trust. Our congressional representatives should exist and act FOR THE PEOPLE that put them their. Not for personal profits. ESPECIALLY while they sit at the capital in positions of power.

There are some (arguably many) matters which you cannot leave entirely up to algorithms without having a human-in-the-loop. The future, dignity and freedom of a human life is one of them.
We need to get money back out of politics. Our representatives should be focused on bettering the lives of their districts and states, not on how to make their bank accounts fuller.
