Normalize checking people‘s accounts before you reply to them. If they’re replying to you with incendiary shit and you see that they have no posts on their feed — block them. they WANT the engagement & your reaction. They want to sew Discord. They are, in fact, both a purposeful agitator and a plant

Also, I bought magnetic planners I can put on my fridge to help organize myself and get some weight off my mind. Let's see how effective it will be.

Well, the metallic plate under the seat of my ergonomic chair is busted, and now I can't lean backward anymore, or risk breaking it more.
Don't buy cheap chairs, especially if you're big, restless, and spend a lot of time sitting.

agree with this (hah) but also think a particular mistake the left made for a long time online, and still makes to an extent, is failing to understand that the person whose mind you may actually change is the one reading the argument you're having, not the one you're arguing with
The secret to engaging in social media debate is knowing you will never win anyone over. The best you can hope for is to have people who already agree with tell you you're awesome. You might great a dopamine thrill from the righteousness of your anger! Fine benefits, all. But you will never win.

The point of the AI project is to provoke despair in creative people. They haven’t produced profits or anything anyone wants, just a steady stream of articles about how us artistic types can’t do the thing we’re already doing, making art. Jokes on them, we’re even better at despair than they are.
