It's amazing how the Third Way (read: Longstanding Establishment Democratic Party) approach to triangulation looks indistinguishable from total capitulation, but if you ever point this obvious fact out you're simply accused of helping or outright supporting Donald Trump and the American right.
Scoop: Third Way is circulating a memo, shared first with @playbookdc, featuring a new blacklist of words Dems shouldn’t use.

How Abundance Echoes the DOGE Narrative - ProMarket
The abundance movement, which seeks to lift the burden of inefficient regulation off the private sector to unleash equitable growth, has become the policy platform for many liberals. Dylan Gyauch-Lewis argues that the movement fails to account for the costs of externalities that many of the regulations it derides seek to address.

Authoritarians ask Musk to turn over lists of USAID staff

The prime minister of Slovakia asked Musk to share information about NGOs and reporters who worked there.

In Russia, the state duma speaker said, if USAID is an enemy organization, Russia wants a list, "and we’ll hand it over to the FSB.”

Some higher ed organizations who are loudly circling the wagons against federal funding cuts were oddly silent or circumspect about the earlier attacks on CRT and DEI.

I wish there was a better understanding that these attacks are coming because we failed to repel those.

Great piece covering our new three branches of government: MAGA, the Heritage Foundation, and Silicon Valley overlords
Sunday reading: A MAGA Feeding Frenzy Is Ravaging the Constitutional Order

The assault is coming from different angles: Project 2025. The feudal tech barons. The America First nativists. Less a single master plan – and more comprehensive chaos.

Seems a good day to reread this article from a couple months ago: “Vought is not merely a stand-in for the Heritage crew. He is a committed ideologue […] convinced the constitutional order is no more, that the extreme Left has destroyed it, and that truly radical measures are needed to restore it.”
Sunday reading: Meet the Ideologue of the “Post-Constitutional” Right

I wrote about Russell Vought, one of the architects behind Project 2025, who believes there is nothing left to conserve. He desires revolution – and to burn down the system.

I’ve been through this a lot over the years with peers who say ‘no sense in overreacting,’ or ‘what can Dems do?’ But if back in 2016 or 2021 you prophesied “Trump will execute a mass purge of FBI and DO while his patrons ransack the treasury and Dems will not react,” they’d have been incredulous.
What if a Saturday night massacre-style purge had no political repercussions whatsoever. Would that be good or
