Theoretically:
- it targets the primary issue in many patients- unregulated aldosterone production.
-avoid effect of further elevated Aldo during MRA treatment

Obvs -avoid gynecomastia and off-target effects of Spiro.
For other MRAs it has always been difficult to push dose high enough.

NEW: After Vernor’s breathing machine stopped working, a Lincare representative promised his mother a company respiratory therapist would be in contact “until we get him a new machine.”

But she didn’t hear from Lincare until 7 days later, the same day Vernor died.
What a Wrongful Death Lawsuit Reveals About America’s Largest Oxygen Provider
When an at-risk sleep apnea patient needed his breathing machine replaced, Lincare, a $2.4 billion behemoth with a decadeslong history of regulatory and legal problems, acted slowly. The result was disastrous.

This language reflects the view of our adversaries — Russia and China — who see U.S. aid (a form of soft power) as an obstacle to expanding their own influence in developing countries. Someone who believes this does not have the best interests of the U.S. (or vulnerable populations) at heart.
USAID is a criminal organization,” Mr. Musk wrote on Sunday in a social media post that many aid workers saw as confirmation the agency would soon be absorbed into the State Department and that some viewed as a potential threat to their personal safety. “Time for it to die.”
THIS HAS TO STOP.

I believe there has been a long epidemiological association with obesity and some malignancies. An oversimplification (ignoring inflammatory cytokines, etc) but it was taught to me in medical school as essentially “more cells, more problems”. In that sense, an unsurprising outcome.
The interesting thing is that reducing CV death and renal death = more chances you stay alive to develop something else (aka the inevitable cancer)

And some cancers (thyroid) have been closely followed even in trials

Though such huge effects smell like some kind of selection bias of course

Wow, incredible reporting. Pro Publica is hitting it out of the park lately.

So curious who he is describing here: “But there was also an Ohio OB-GYN on the national board of directors — he used to work for the Cleveland Clinic, I discovered, and now led a subsidiary of UnitedHealth Group.”
Outraged by Jan 6, he spent two years getting inside the top ranks of militias like the Oath Keepers. He was stunningly successful. He penetrated a new generation of militia leaders, which included doctors, cops & government attorneys.

This is his story. www.propublica.org/article/ap3-...
A Mole Infiltrated the Highest Ranks of American Militias. This Is What He Found.
Outraged by the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, a wilderness survival trainer spent years undercover climbing the ranks of right-wing militias. He didn’t tell police or the FBI. He didn’t tell family or friends....
