There are, I promise you, still serious and important people who think that Trump is playing 3D chess — putting on an act to convince his laggard NATO allies to pony up their fare share.

But stuff like this is pretty clear evidence that he's *the* immediate risk to our collective security

when you have an organically organized, decentralized mass movement using a tactic to great effect and that is near impossible for oppressive forces to block or prevent, you need to have a good fucking reason to argue against and even organize against its use.

People who think retribution against politic dissent is new are wrong. When I wrote for WhiteHouse.Org, a website that mocked the George W. Bush administration, all my boarding passes were marked "SSSS" which meant that everything in bags were unpacked out and searched. Nazism isn't new to America.

BREAM: Is the FBI investigating the ICE agent who shot Renee Good?

BLANCHE: What happened has been reviewed by millions of Americans bc it was recorded. We investigate when it's appropriate. That is not the case here. We are not going to bow to pressure. So no, we are not investigating.

This isn’t immigration policy. It’s a business model.

ICE keeps growing, not because it makes America safer, but because corporations are raking in billions off cages, bodies, and suffering. ICE’s existence is a massive revenue stream.

Pew Research Institute (2023):

• Red State Texas has about 2.1 million undocumented immigrants

• Red State Florida has 1.6 M undocumented immigrants

• Blue State Minnesota has 130,000.

And yet only Minnesota is being occupied by masked thugs over "immigration."

It's *not* about immigration.

I would do a better job running the economy and I am a dumb cartoonist who can barely keep track of his checking account.
If Europe dumps its stake in the US and sells our debt, then the interest rate on borrowing money for the US skyrockets, the dollar crashes, our ability to import goods is weakened and our inflation crisis deepens perhaps fatally.

This is radioactive soft power.

glad they're on this. i've noticed this and you probably have too. shattering drivers side car windows appears to be a top and preferred tactic for ICE. even when nothing is happening that makes it necessary or even on the most generous interpretation warranted. it's terror tactic.
Last July, ProPublica documented nearly 50 incidents of immigration officers shattering car windows to make arrests — a tactic experts and former ICE insiders say was rarely used before President Trump began his second term:

aside from this awful person who has the energy of zombie roadkill, imagine saying this about Minneapolis. Lots of things I associate with Minneapolis. Prince, the Twins, lo-fi social democracy, city closest to Hibbing. AKs in the car windows and gangland murder & rioting just isn't one of them.
Kristi Noem: "When we did these operations in other cities across the country, we didn't see this kind of violence. We didn't see organized, funded protesters come in to conduct acts of violence against our law enforcement officers like we're seeing in Minneapolis."
