If we support free speech then we should support it for everyone, up to the limits of the rights and freedoms of others. When the loudest proponents of free speech do the opposite, it's pretty obvious that the principle of free speech was never really their cause to begin with.

Absolutely - a defection is when a sitting MP crosses the floor between parliamentary benches in the Commons. And “former Minister” - the Tories had more turns at Cabinet than the Magic Roundabout.
Can't we agree to reserve 'defect' for the act of a sitting MP and refer to cases like Caulfield as 'changes direct debit'?

Having attended a State school in Leyton before seeing the privilege and entitlement on offer at Cambridge University, and having taught in both State and Private schools many moons ago...
