Very good on the deeply cynical and dangerous right wing manoeuvres to compromise and ultimately destroy the BBC.

The BBCBias plot thickens.

There is a serious problem with both editorial and corporate governance, which needs to addressed rapidly.

The resignations of Davie and Furness may well have made accountability even less transparent and impartial.
🚨UPDATE WITH COMMENT FROM THE BBC: Byline Times can confirm that of the four-person BBC panel that interviewed Prescott and made the decision to appoint him as an advisor, three of them had longstanding Conservative Party ties. bylinetimes.com/2025/11/11/b...

Incredible that Robbie Gibb - most influential person on BBC board by many accounts and from journalists I speak in BBC - was involved in setting up GB News.

GB News of course has breached Ofcom rules on *multiple* occasions - no sign of resignations though

I don't often call for resignations. But Sir Robbie Gibb's role in the BBC boardroom coup makes his continued role there untenable. He must resign or be removed

🎯 Davey is spot on. "We can have criticism of the BBC, but within that, we need to recognise how valuable an institution it is [and how] precious to our country. And that's one of the reasons why people like President Trump and Nigel Farage, want to undermine the BBC." 👏🏽~AA

UK shadow fleet and ancillary services like maritime insurance facilitating #Russian exports of oil and gas need to be stopped.

The UK cannot afford to fund Putin’s war against Ukraine.
I asked the Foreign Secretary about the Russian shadow fleet that is smuggling oil and gas across the world, funding Putin's barbaric war.

76% Russian Gas is shipped on a UK owned or insured vessels. This is £45 billion worth of gas. This is huge for Russia's budget 🧵
