They fight for the fetus because the fetus doesn’t ask anything of them. The moment the fetus becomes a baby they will do everything they can to cut the programs that feed the child, clothe the child and educate the child. And the mother will be labeled a “Welfare Queen” the moment she seeks help!

Something the autistic people I talk with all privately mention is how often neurotypical people interpret disagreeing as a threat or a power move. It's weird, & lots of folks who like to imagine themselves as accepting immediately turn hostile if you express a different perspective.
