A reminder that the Epstein files aren't a distraction from the oligarchy. They're an integral part of it.
A reminder: The perpetrators in the Epstein files are Oligarchs, and so are the ones protecting them.

We deserve a Democratic Party that is willing to fight as hard as we are.

We need new leadership in this moment and to get there, we need a chorus of support for change. Tell your Democratic senators to call on Senator Schumer to step aside as Minority Leader. It’s time for drastic action.
CALL NOW: Tell Your Democratic Senator It's Time for Chuck Schumer to Step Aside

Back in the saddle. Donated $50 for food via Propel, which is used by SNAP families, because it will take a while to get the government running. Many good organizations helping with food insecurity in the USA now, Archewell has a great list: archewell.org/news/support...

I'm going to start to read a book by Gianni Rodari called Le Avventure Di Cipollino, or the Adventures of the Little Onion. It is for children. I bought it in the book shop the other day, some little darling place in Torino. It is in Italian so I'll have to translate as I go....

And then this! I am in a country led by criminals and criminal-led corporations!! Except there are tons of us who are not, and who are decent critters and we do roll our sleeves up ❤️
BREAKING: Tesla shareholders just approved a pay package for Elon Musk that’s worth up to $1 trillion.

It benefits no one. This Supreme Court & federal government filled with transphobes, criminals. The majority of we the people don't feel this way!! Mamdani didn't appease the transphobes, he didn't bring a Cheney on stage! I'm having retroactive fury at the Harris campaign, we didn't do it right!!
Reminder: It benefits nobody in a way to list sex assigned at birth on passports, there is no requirement to include it, this is just about punishing trans etc. Americans.
BREAKING: The Supreme Court will allow the Trump administration to enforce its anti-trans and anti-nonbinary passport policy during litigation.

The unsigned, four-paragraph order effectively reverses two lower-court decisions. The Democratic appointees dissent.

This is the town where Northwestern University is. It is overwhelming and the videos are horrifying.
Schools went on lockdown, people stayed inside. It lasted the entire afternoon. A constant din of whistles, sirens, helicopters, people shouting. Or dead silence.

I see the NYT, New Yorker, commentariat frame it as "activists clashing with ICE."

No.

ICE/CBP/DHS are terrorizing US citizens.

i really resent the continued assertion that there’s so much anger on both sides, as if the causes of the anger are equally legitimate. we’re angry because masked maniacs are violently snatching our family and neighbors off the street, and they’re angry because we’re calling them out for it.

Honest to the gods I cannot believe we are discussing a Nazi dude in Maine - just DITCH him & get a non-Nazi for us Dems!! This has got to be a media problem - most of the media is owned by big companies who love to amplify Nazis - the current president & ilk - and crucify a tan suit on a Black man!
Apparently some folks are playing real dumb about skull symbols so let’s play a little game I like to call “Nazi skull or not a Nazi skull”

First up, the Jolly Roger. This is a pirate skull, not a Nazi skull. It means you might get robbed, but prolly not genocided.
