Children In Need:

I’m alone in finding this an embarrassment & a joke? These things need addressing, it should be state funded! Why should people add to the tax burden to compensate for Gov’t failings?

Not criticising anyone involved/ contributing but we are a wealthy Country & taxes should pay!
November 14, 2025 at 7:59 PM
It's just utterly pathetic!
Jesus wept!

Totally agree. Every Gov't Minster and Department should never post/ Just cut them out!
X is a radicalisation machine that pushes people into angry extremism, peddles disinformation and conspiracy theories and is run by an egomaniacal lunatic who threatens civil war on our streets and wants to trash our democracy.
It does nothing but harm.
So, yes. Government should stop using it.
🔉What dangers does X pose to our democracy? And should the government stop using it?

Good to hear yesterday from @sundersays.bsky.social and @petergeoghegan.bsky.social on the immense risk of X as it ignores legal obligations and its owner tries to influence UK politics.

Just stop privatising via the back door! Get rid of all companies that “supply” the NHS other than Pharmaceutical companies
For me a fully taxpayer funded #NHS free at point of use is a firm red line. We must not vote for ANY candidate who won't commit to this. Ask them about this when they come knocking. #TakeBackOurHealthcare #uninsurable #RebuildTheNHS #PrivateIsNotHealthcare #OurNHS

Inadequate really doesn't do justice to him!
All PMs are flawed but I think if you have no coherent vision, no ability to make decisions quickly, no humour or charisma when addressing the public, no strong roots in your party, no talent for charming MPs and no control over your own office, then you are unlikely to be able to turn it around

There is no way, whatever is released in these “Epstein Files”, that are complete and edited of Trump’s involvement.

Starmer can never ever make the right decision.
"Robbie Gibb should have no role in appointing the next Director General, and given the Royal Charter gives the government the power to remove him will the Prime Minister sack him now?" asks Ed Davey.

Starmer says he won't interfere in running the BBC

And with Labour support.
"This entire saga has a smell hanging over it. The people of Teesside, Hartlepool and Darlington are no fools. That smell will not go away until there is a full, transparent and independent inquiry."

Labour is totally unprincipled and everyone can see it. And their behaviour around FreePorts & SEZ's is disgraceful.
If Starmer had held to his original pledges he'd have had good socialist values to guide his policy . His managerialism has resulted in him being " at sea" . So sad that Labour are wasting this majority as its us the electorate paying , literally, the price.
November 12, 2025 at 1:22 PM
Worse!
😂😂😂😂😂
Sorry shouldn’t laugh because so much is at stake but the idea that the solution to the failure of Blue/Neoliberal/Blairite/Trying-to-please-everyone-and-pleasing-no-one Labour is to replace Starmer with Wes Streeting is so ridiculous.

It's just endless nonsense all focused on him.
Farage says he's "boycotting the BBC" all the time.

Here he is last year.

Normally lasts until the next invitation comes.

I saw a report about a week ago highlighting the extent of Australian solar Panel fields and how thy are giving away energy to their residents. And China are doing very well at reducing their emissions with fields of Solar Panels. Young people are so stupid!
And today it's the turn of The Times to try and patronise us all.

Every single day the right wing establishment tries to close ranks.

And every day we are growing.

Safe to say I shall miss it.
Nigel Farage will probably use his 39th appearance on Question Time to complain about the BBC's leftwing bias

I really can’t imagine
White british boy arrested for plotting a Southport style mass killing and had terrorist material on him. Even the local news barely covered this story got a 10 second mention. Why is this not a major story?

We really don’t want her either
Can we deport Ghislaine Maxwell back to the UK? They at least know what to do with child sex traffickers and abusers. They don't make them kings and they don't give them special treatment by sending them to a minimum security prison.

It’s an absolute mess. No one other than a 3rd World Dictator would do this. A Mafia Boss would have more taste.
Look at what this garish, classless, tasteless fool has done to the People’s House.

Good, hopefully his days are numbered too
Trump is hurtling into lame duck territory.

His ratings are off a cliff. It's his second term, and the next generation of Republicans are desperately distancing themselves from him, fearing wipeout.

Nigel Farage, meanwhile, clearly hasn't noticed and thinks it's all going to be happy days ahead.
November 11, 2025 at 10:22 PM
Totally agree
Robbie Gibb was appointed to the BBC Board by Boris Johnson, was an editorial advisor for GB News, and worked as Theresa May's Director of Comms.

He is not impartial or neutral. The government should remove him from the Board immediately to protect the BBC's independence.
November 11, 2025 at 2:01 PM
I usually agree with everything you say, and agree with your sentiment here, but I think the majority have been indoctrinated against the BBC, either due to the likes of Johnson & Farage or the rest of MSM.
The BBC is ours. It's ours to love. Ours to criticise. Ours to shout at when we feel in the mood.

And if Farage thinks that the way to win favour with voters is to stand around cheering as Trump takes down the BBC for $1 billion of personal enrichment then he's a bigger fool than anyone thought.

They haven't really done anything positive to improve people's lives. it's just like the same old admin.

And as individuals a number are doing very nicely out of Freeports & SEZ's.
We're 16 months into Labour's 5-year term and they haven't materially improved our relationship with the EU yet.

They agreed a few minor things but almost none of those have come to pass yet, and they're still haggling over process and details.

Plus none of it moves the needle on Brexit's damage.
