One more quick thread, and then I'm getting out of here to walk my dog in the sun.

I think a lot about the authoritarian personality. I won't start going on about that because this thread would last forever, but I just want to say one thing about it.

Just started a new jar of marmite. Noticeably paler than the one I just finished. Has something changed, or is it just that the old jar had a BBE of 2024?

I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.

I’m seeing adverts for Namibian hardwood to burn in the UK. I haven’t looked into this in any way, is it better than it sounds?

Three of the top five British grid electricity records smashed in 2025!

This is a huge success story, despite what Russian bots and U.S fossil fuel shills scream on X.

Every unit of clean domestic energy we produce means a safer future for our children…🥳

I’m playing a great co-op game with my son, Split Fiction. One of the characters is partly motivated by financial pressures because her father is unwell. Yet another American story! Terrible healthcare motivates so much US fiction.

Watching #StrangerThings with my eldest, who’s very into it. It’s a thing we do together, which I enjoy, but I’m not sure why it has such a big cultural impact. Guess I’ll just enjoy the ride, I won’t always have this time with them.

Why make EVs the only vehicles paying per mile in the UK? You could apply pay per mile to all private transport and slightly reduce fuel duty.

The segment about the oldest known deliberate fire anywhere in the world has blown my mind, 400,000 years ago right here in England!

I had this dream last night after playing a Christmas concert with my brass band. In my dream I had a percussion part, I’m a trombone player. Classic anxiety dream.

As a youth I liked the first 3 released Star Wars films, went to see Phantom Menace on release and was so disappointed I’ve not seen anything Star Wars since. It’s been long enough that I can’t properly remember the original 3 now. I see they keep releasing stuff though.
