As a youth I liked the first 3 released Star Wars films, went to see Phantom Menace on release and was so disappointed I’ve not seen anything Star Wars since. It’s been long enough that I can’t properly remember the original 3 now. I see they keep releasing stuff though.

I’ve done Wordle in 3 all week, wonder if I can keep it up tomorrow for a full 7 day streak?

My kids are playing a horror game (Until Dawn) and are too scared to go out to the garage to fetch some cans of pop.

I like using the NESO app to plan my car charging - I charge the minimum necessary when the grid is dirty but right now it’s 91% zero carbon so I’m filling up.

Woke up feeling grotty, but like a hangover but haven’t had a drop for over a week. It’s just hit me - I didn’t have my regular amount of coffee yesterday.

How many times did we read in the media that electric vehicle sales were down or stalling?

Look at the actual figures - the opposite is the case.

Often journalists pick one quarter or month to make such claims. What matters are annual sales.

An undisturbed part of Birchwood Forest Park with plenty of new saplings - this is #rewilding right? Just don’t mow it all and trees will seed themselves.

Feel like an intense few years are starting. GCSE results tomorrow for my eldest, and significant exam results due almost every year for at least the next four, and if degrees are involved then for a few more after that. 3 kids, who thought that was a good idea?

@jesszafarris.bsky.social @robwords.bsky.social do you have an episode on words that seem to contradict themselves? Just did a crossword which contained “unloose” clue was “free”, but loose is often used to mean free, unloose seems like it has a negative prefix. I guess loose here is like leash?

Had a touching father-son moment a minute ago. Put the lad to bed, read a chapter of a book.
“Daddy can I tell you something?”
“Of course, what is it?”
“If I bounce a ball of that beam, that wall, that bit of the window and back to the beam it makes a loop!”
“Ok, goodnight” 🤨

Genuinely don’t understand why politicians aren’t trying to make us all elites, rather than complaining about elites. “We will invest in education, science and technology to make your children elite!”
