I see the article you linked references the Peak colony a few times, maybe I should’ve read that before commenting! I saw a Peak wallaby in the 80’s.

Wind and solar provided nearly 40% of GB electricity in the last 12 months. Wind alone was more than gas. I can’t understand the naysayers.

The key word is variable. Hydro isn’t in that bucket. Hydro can be turned on and off and with a pump act even more as a store, but it’s not short term weather dependent.

Tesla biggest but only at just under 11% of EV market here in UK. In Europe they’re 4th behind VW, BMW and Mercedes.

Hmm, there are plenty of ICE cars where replacing a headlight requires a trip to a garage. This is not just a Tesla problem. Also, there are lots of other EVs than Tesla, it’s not inherent to EVs.

What modern car can be fixed with some pretty basic tools? And anyway, an EV doesn’t have all those bits that need fixing with basic tools, apart from things like suspension that are the same.
