I can absolutely see the validity in all of this. Jalen is a weird dude who plays his own game and we've seen fractures between him and the HC in the past. The overall scheme/play design is also absolutely dogshit and that's more to blame than Hurts not wanting to make throws.

I kind of don't see how Meyers helps in regards to the teams lack of power. Are you batting him lead off to do a more traditional 2-4 with Turner/Harper/Schwarber? It feels not great that one of those 3 will overall get less ABs but maybe Bryce needs to be a cleanup guy rn?
-- Phillies want to re-sign Schwarber quickly; Schwarber sees no rush, though market may be light
-- Teams are interested in Phillies' 3 lefty relievers and team may trade one to boost farm
-- Jake Meyers trade could be fall-back if Bader signs elsewhere
