Play this at the Super Bowl.
I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.

Since July, I've tracked at least 2,300 cases in which federal judges have ruled ICE has illegally detained people without bond or due process.

This is one that stands out:

Proud of my Congress member.
Heartbreak doesn’t convey the devastation of what happened to Alex Jeffrey Pretti today. His own government killed him in cold blood.

The Senate cannot pass the DHS funding bill to allow these disgusting actions to continue.

Great thread. In 1775 it was Boston. Today Minneapolis is the center of resistance.
I came to Minneapolis to report on what's going on, and one of the main questions I showed up with is "just what is the scale of the resistance?" After all, we're all used to the news calling Portland a "war zone" or whatever when it's just some protests in one part of town.

The Constitution is very clear: War powers belong to Congress, not the White House.

Contact your senators and demand that they check the regime’s lawless violence — or there’s no telling where this will end.

It’s the “season of love and giving”…but this year, doesn’t it seem more like a “season of fear and taking”? Like many of you, I’ve been saddened by the human impact of draconian government budget cuts and how angry many housed Americans are at unhoused Americans.

I know it’s too much to expect them to know their history, but if the American Revolution had a motto, it definitely would not have been “immigrants go home.”

It would have been “get your fucking soldiers out of our cities.”
America... boy, I dunno.

This is a hell of a piece.
The East Wing Obscenity

This piece is on the free side of the paywall, and I have to admit that writing it made me more sad than I could have imagined. The ugly destruction isn’t just to a building, but to memory, history, and American grace.

How far we’ve fallen, and how fast.
This is an overt cash bribe to a sitting president, and we’ve apparently sunk so far that nobody involved feels any shame or questions whether they’ll get away with it.
This may sound old fashioned, but again it’s worth saying. 60 Minutes did nothing wrong. This is a payoff for merger approval.
