@trishgreenhalgh.bsky.social, queen of evidence, has done a systematic review of what scant research exists on Physician Associates in the UK.
Great work.
'The absence of evidence of safety incidents [..] appears to have been misinterpreted by policymakers to mean that there are no safety concerns with the substitution of doctors with PAs. This is an error of logic which, if not corrected, is likely to cost lives.'

5.6% of NHS budget for treating 1.3million people every weekday
Never getting “bail outs”, waiting times counted in hours/days or weeks rather than months or years

On just 5.6% of NHS budget.
How much more could be done with proper funding and support but Wes looks at GPs & thinks reform 🤦🏽‍♀️

📌NHS patients who have had any issues with PAs - you can now send a comment to Leng.Review@dhsc.gov.uk

This is important as it can affect the future of our care in NHS

We have already seen the GMC, NHSE etc can’t be trusted to not obscure or twist the truth

Like thousands of other UK ED staff I’m heading into a shift in a Trust that has declared a critical incident. I’ve got a flask of tea, taken a (prescribed) propranolol, will go in & do my best but also remember I can only do what I can do, and I can’t fix a system that was destroyed by the Tories

There is no reason.
There is no meaning.
It's all pure luck.
