For some this may not appear of any significance… but for anyone from ED it’s a game changer… brand new pillows delivered to ED - is it a sign we are turning the corner for Emergency care in the UK? Or just luck?

This is what a government can actually do… make difficult decisions that are at most an ‘inconvenience’ for some but actually reduce casualties on the roads.

But sadly it’s hard to own the success while SM and some gutter politics use the inconvenience for political gain 🤦🏻‍♂️

Sunshine means busy days on the Wales @air-ambulance.bsky.social - at one point all 4 helicopters were in the air across Wales yesterday!

Quite the mix of rural / urban environments we can cover in one day!

Summary seems to be make it notifiable then when we have a vaccine programme we can see the effectiveness - good news overall but obvs an admin burden in the meantime 🧐

The 2024 findings on A&E are stark - just 12% said they were satisfied with the length of time it takes to be seen in A&E.

This is as bad as you might expect or possibly worse - X isn’t just an echo chamber for the far right crazy, it’s actively silencing the sensible 🤦🏻‍♂️
Last month I did a little experiment.

I wanted to see how the exact same post would perform on both X (Twitter) and Bluesky.

The results were...interesting...

As the conditions and responses become ever more complex and nuanced it seems a sensible option to offer a suite of measures for the ambulance response.

Hopefully we can do the same for the ED ‘targets’ and have less blunt measures!

What happens if they want it back & invade Alaska?

Would the US be happy to exchange land for the prospect of peace?

Or just like Ukraine would they fight to keep their land?
