This is the stuff which will resonate with voters, much as the rail crossing removals did ... ie. actually doing things. Mainstream media is now so far off the pace with identifying and informing people about this stuff it feels increasingly like the rest of us live in a parallel universe. Bizarre.
Important to remember that while the Murdoch and Ninefax outlets are under the covers 'fluffing up' the Libs, in the next few weeks the Vic Govt will deliver

- a whole new 5 stations & tunnel.
- a new river crossing/tunnel to the west.

And a month or two later
- a new, bigger Footscray hospital

CSIRO 350 job cuts a damning indictment on Government priorities, misses 'golden opportunity' on research
The announcement this week that CSIRO are to cut 350 research jobs is another damning indictment on Australia’s ongoing failure to prioritise research and development.

What a shocking waste of opportunity this government has proved to be.
It has squandered its time and attention on ridiculous fiscal rules, persecuting refugees and trashing ecosystems in the name of growth, while failing to deliver what we so desperately want.

Just a note to journalists - there is no such thing as a moderate Liberal MP. I told you about this back in 2019. (And even that was a late note)

Gough raised unemployment benefits to their highest level relative to poverty - then Fraser (and his treasurer John Howard) fucked it up as soon as they could.

Hawke/Keating repaired some of the damage... then Howard fucked it up for good

so funny seeing the media fete losers like Sarah Henderson (lost Corangamite despite Morrison throwing squillions of our dollars at the seat for her) and Dave Sharma (lost Wentworth twice despite Morrison announcing an embassy relocation for him) just because the Liberals give them senate seats.

Easy to believe this guy ignored someone who passed out in the Oval Office. He did ignore a guest at a Mar-a-Lago event who fell off the stage and split his head open and complained about the blood staining his marble floor. The lack of empathy is on-brand.

The boyfriend of a friend of my son's has spent several weeks in a psych ward due to Chat GPT induced psychosis. He isn't suicidal but AI encouraged him down a toxic and paranoid wormhole until he became completely delusional. Evil stuff.
1.This is not the only known example we know of ChatGPT cheering on a vulnerable young person to die by suicide, this time it is a recent Texas A&M grad
2. Every single university that has invited OpenAI into our midst should be asked to account for their choices.

Partly because so many formerly leftwing parties have turned to the right, there's a lot of confusion about what right and left mean in politics. I hope this helps:

The right defends economic power.

The left resists economic power.

Ahhh well.
Anyway, this is just pre-emptive bitch in case the PM forces Chalmers to negotiate with the Libs over superannuation rather than just band with the Greens & pass the bill as is.

Grow up and use the Greens to pass the policies you want.

(Prob tho, when the PM prefers politics to policy)

The war in Gaza has killed 186 journalists as of Aug 11, 2025. This is the highest number ever recorded in any war. 🚨

It is more than the total journalists killed in World War I, World War II, Vietnam, the Yugoslav Wars, and Afghanistan combined. ⚖️📸💔
