I shouldn’t *know* the scores of certain games before reviews are even out, but there’s an enforced belief that some series/studios are so inherently good they deserve automatic praise.

I don’t blame any critic who pulls a few punches to avoid the mob. I’d be shocked if it doesn’t happen - it’s a trivial thing to do compared to threats from unhinged people.

I think media made it weirdly taboo, or a sign of personal failure. Someone can be disinterested in you romantically and sexually, and not provide a good or logical reason. And it just means they weren't available, and you should move on to find someone, who is.

If someone wants to be friends, they find you emotionally and intellectually compatible. This is great. And saves you embarrassment and time seeking romantic and sexual response from someone who doesn't reciprocate it. Why is it treated as a failure.

Just a reminder that class-based inequality didn't exist at all for hundreds of thousands of years after the earliest H. sapiens fossils first appear. There is nothing "natural" about hoarding wealth. Rather, sharing & exchange to create bonds of solidarity are more the norm.
