Parent of some children, married for a long time.
LFC supporter.
Very left of centre, but not a nutcase (or am I).
T.O’R is developing a habit of making the most salient political points I read each day and I don’t know what reality is anymore.
There are people defending the president over a man shooting his own daughter, saying it has nothing to do with Trump and while that may be true I don't remember anyone murdering their daughter because they had an argument about Obama or Clinton or Reagan or Carter or Bush

I’ve liked Ally McCoist over the last few years. But honestly - what was that, “corner takers shouldn’t get assists” all about?

Phew.

Other teams seem to stay down for ages when a player is injured. We seem desperate to accommodate the opposition.

Just found these mince pies in the freezer. The box says they’re not suitable for freezing. I think it may be right. 🤣🤣🤣

BTW, I have no interest in bandwagons (I’ll have no truck with them 🤣🤣🤣).
But it’s true to say I’ve been enjoying songs in languages I don’t understand for years. I actively seek them out and sometimes I find out what the words mean.

Lots of ppl praising the officials for Szobo’s red.
I can’t understand why they would disallow City’s third goal.

I don’t know whether this is of interest to ppl, but I’ve just had a look at the BBC explanation of the next rounds of the UCL and I’m pretty sure they’ve fundamentally misunderstood how it works.

This is so true, in my experience at least.
The reason people become CEOs of large companies is in large part due to their ability to rationalize ethically questionable behavior that gets them ahead. People with empathy make the ethical choice because they couldn’t live with themselves if they hurt others.

This fella has received loads of harsh criticism online (I call it abuse, some may not).
I wonder what it’s like to be a “supporter”, calling for the benching and immediate sale of LFC players (including brand new signings).
When said players have a good game and we win, how does that feel for you?

I love this line up. Mainly because it’s filled with Liverpool players.

I didn’t expect to like this, but gave it a bash whilst working.
I found it an eclectic, well curated selection. I have new found respect for Rita Ora. Brazilian Jazz - who knew?

Y’know, I’ve always said the FA Cup was loads better than the league. 🤣🤣🤣
We’ll face Brighton at Anfield in the #EmiratesFACup fourth round 👊

I’ve just this minute discovered that Sweet Child ‘O Mine is number 48 in Brazil’s charts.

That’s it, just switched off my outside lights at the end of twelfth night.
Now to get creative and set up some Epiphany lights.

It’s the 10th day of Christmas and my spouse is taking down all signs of Christmastide.
I’m resolutely keeping the lights shining until twelfth night.

Loved this lad. A Red who always have his all and was a positive influence in the squad who never seemed downhearted.
He won a cup final shootout against Chelsea helped end the title drought.
Was then unfairly (imo) scapegoated for the Atleti defeat.

I have huge respect and affection for Arne Slot, always will have I expect.
He was certainly the right coach for 2024/25.
However, if he’s also the right coach for 2026/27 then I’m struggling to reconcile that with how they’re being coached this season.

A reminder. 2025 has been a champion year for football. In particular for Liverpool FC.
For all the recent bias about dodgy spells, injuries, set pieces and ludicrous shouts about the manager’s job, it’s worth remembering that 2025 will be recorded as another title win for Liverpool.

Happy New Year.

Possibly the best post of the year comes on the last day.
if you can't afford clothes, it's not clothing poverty, it's poverty. If you can't afford sanitary protection, it's not period poverty, it's poverty. Divvying up poverty into little bits hides the fact that poverty is poverty and gives right-wingers an in to say "poor people need to budget better."
Charity warns of rise in 'clothing poverty'.

Profiteering and cuts in real wages force people rely on charity.

Charity provides food, clothing, air ambulance, hospices and more in the 6th largest economy.
