I don't understand the point of this post. Yes Canada is still providing foreign aid but it's $2.7 billion less than before. So that's a cut. It's in the budget. No one in government denies that they're cutting foreign aid funding.
Context is important, and part of the blame is the media.

The Liberals have finally given up on Climate. Not surprising with Carney in charge but sad to see. 30 years from now Canadians will look back at this and regret what their parents decided was important. Finger crossed China can continue on its path to possibly save humanity. #budget2025 #cdnpoli

Notwithstanding that the board can't undertake an unconstitutional action, it exceeds the statutory purpose of s.107 by making s.90 not applicable which allows for Cabinet to prohibit (with a higher threshold for invocation ) a disruption during an election when laws can't pass.

My prediction: the Courts will find that the use of s.107 for the Minister to direct the labour board to order binding arbitration to end a labour dispute is both unconstitutional and exceeds the statutory purpose of s.107 as it makes back to work legislation moot. #cdnlaw
