I used to read more believable stories in my gramma’s National Enquirer for shits sake
Of all the things in the history of the world that definitely did not happen - this is the pinnacle.

“To subject working people to that stress [of losing their health insurance]—in addition to everything else that’s going on in the country today—is frightening.”

I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.

Sad but true 😣
Many Americans are terrible neighbors to each other, and that is why MN is striking everyone as extraordinary activism... when they are telling us that it is not. They're good neighbors!

It's no wonder that "being a shitty neighbor" is the hallmark of our domestic politics and our foreign policy.

Why do we shame ourselves for our TBR piles? It's not our fault that we're denied the time to partake in humanity's greatest privilege. Isn't it wonderful that brilliant minds keep crafting delightful stories? Your TBR is a beautiful never-ending goal. May we all be gifted the time to attempt it.

I'm sorry, but it really bothers me that the Pantone Color of the Year is...
not actually a color.
That's like a Flavor of the Year being Air.
The Sound of the Year being Silence.
The Feeling of the Year being I Have Never Known The Touch of a Woman.

I will say over and over again that us library folk need to be louder in our support of the Post Office. Because guess what—if they start thinking of USPS in terms of“making” or “losing” money, libraries won’t be far behind.
The USPS posting a NINE BILLION DOLLAR LOSS!!! sounds terrible. Certainly worse than if you said "USPS costs thirty dollars per person per year" even though that means the same thing and more accurately describes a government service
