Grateful to Jess and so many others listened last night to the story of what happened at the MN Capitol on Saturday. We wanted to tell the story of 80K Minnesotans who showed up in spite of their grieving and their fear, and who needed to be together in solidarity. #nokings @ashdashlee.bsky.social
To the co-leaders of @indivistwincities.bsky.social thank you.

For your deeply moving words.

For holding space for the 80K MN residents who showed up on Saturday even *after* the right-wing assassin struck.

For standing for good in the face of evil.

Proud to be on your team. ❤️

For @jenpsaki.msnbc.com @nytimes.com and others who rptd that the rally in St. Paul MN had been cancelled. Here's what a cancelled rally looks like. 80K both grieving the loss of Melissa and Mark Hortman, and claiming their power over Kings. @indivistwincities.bsky.social @indivisible.org #nokings

And let's not forget that Donald Trump got the most due process of them all.
This isn’t hard.

Everyone gets due process. EVERYONE GETS DUE PROCESS. Everyone. Gets. Due. Process.
Kristi Noem on Abrego Garcia's wife: "Is she still scared? So many people and victims I've worked with over the years, they say one thing in public because they have to to survive or to protect their children. So I wouldn't say that what she's saying today is how she really feels."

As was said beautifully over on TikTok, Republicans believe money that goes to people instead of to corporations and billionaires is the fraud. Republicans think the waste is *us*. They don’t give a shit about any of us.

When Trump utters the oath "I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."

what brave soul is going to stand up and shout "LIAR!!"?

Look I get everyone’s cynicism and despair but yes…it does matter that Senate Democrats fought back today. It will matter every day. We have to show the fence sitters and people that stayed home the truth. Will it stop these nominations? I don’t know but we all must fight. Don’t throw your hands up.

RFK Jr. is a health hazard. When I got the polio vaccine as a kid I was fully aware that because of it I would not suffer the same fate as my beloved aunt who got polio during the epidemic and struggled with mobility her whole life. RFK's stance on vaccines alone disqualifies him from the HHS job.

A bottle of water has a 1000x price markup. It’s the equivalent of paying $3000 for an ice cream cone. And it needs far too much water, oil & pollution and GHGs to make the bottle, which too often ends up in the ocean.

So why do we buy bottled water again?

Polarization against fascism is a good thing.
Lots of good examples out there right now for how the “polarization” concept is useful if you want to sound serious by lamenting the state of American politics but don’t understand or deliberately want to obscure the fact that the major threat to democracy is a radicalizing Right.

Someone should ask Musk to use his money to buy us Medicare-for-All.
Sometimes the combination of arrogance and ignorance is breathtaking. Yes, US health care has high admin costs; that's because it relies so much on private insurers. Govt-run health insurance has much lower overhead

I don't think anyone in the media ever asked Trump to explain how tariffs work, just liked they never asked him to explain the Great and the Again in MAGA. He obviously still doesn't know how tariffs work. Or I guess he could just be lying to us about how tariffs work. You decide.

In the days before the election, while canvassing, it seemed in desperation we were still looking for those "undecided voters". I kept thinking "the most important election of our lifetime hinges on the decisions of the least engaged and most ill-informed people in our entire effing country."
the thing about being a political junkie is you have extremely difficult time conceptualizing how someone could be totally ignorant of politics but i would strongly encourage you to imagine the kind of person who googled “did biden drop out?” on november 4th and then cast a ballot on november 5th
