Day 12: Sexiest Film Noir.

Can there be any other choice than GILDA? Despite the censors, we know exactly what we're seeing: the world's hottest nympho breaking up a Dom and his butt boy, followed by some furious bisexual hate f*cking. The Dom's name? Ballin.

This movie. Wow.

HBO Max added 30 classic crime films in Nov — from proto-noirs like THE PUBLIC ENEMY (1931) to essentials like OUT OF THE PAST (1947).

Including their Criterion titles, they now have nearly 100 pre-1960 noirs.

There’s even a dedicated #Noirvember section. (New adds in alt text.) #FilmSky #FilmNoir

NOW YOU SEE ME: NOW YOU DON'T is a return to form for the all-star magic heist franchise.

Of course, that "form" is shallow and forgettable hogwash, but at least it's AMUSINGLY shallow and forgettable hogwash.

My review is at @thewrap.com!

Jesse Eisenberg reunites with his old magical pals — and a new cast of up-and-comers — for another slick, amusing, forgettable heist.

Edgar Wright's THE RUNNING MAN, released by Paramount, is about why monopolistic corporations, like Paramount, which manipulate the news to support a conservative agenda, like Paramount, are so evil they should be taken down by force.

So support the message by... giving Paramount money?

Sad to hear about the passing of legendary actor Tatsuya Nakadai (92). When I first really got into movies, I always thought of him as the other Kurosawa leading man, but his career had as many classics as Mifune. Ran, Harakiri, The Human Condition, Kagemusha, Face of Another, High & Low, and more.
