Spoke to a room of lawyers and judges tonight. Told them: when many Albertans picture the UCP base, they picture you.

They were shocked — most of them oppose the democratic backsliding.

I reminded them: as long as they stay silent, that perception will stick.

All pluralists need to speak out.

~3mm glass shard I removed from the thickest part of my bike tyre tread after it gave me a flat. Picked up on a multi-use path no less. #yegbike

At tonight’s “consultation”…

When a high school kid tried to raise concerns about the teachers strike, Bruce McAllister cut the kids mic and then suggested his parents should have beaten him more.

Listen to the clip yourself…

It’s…

Telling.

A colleague spilled a bottle of water into my computer on Friday. This is the damage by today despite pulling it apart to dry it out as much as was feasible and blowing a fan at it all weekend. Repair cost $490 from a local electronics tech vs upwards of $800 for a new logic board from apple. 😖

WELL. Looks like “unpaid work” isn’t fully over for Air Canada flight attendants after all.

New details are coming out that suggest flight attendants will only be paid at 50% of their hourly rate for pre-take off tasks.

Air Canada, pay your workers!!

The Air Canada strike is a huge deal in so many ways — and lots of them should matter to every single working Canadian.

The flight attendants are ignoring a back to work order. Canadians unions are behind them. The CUPE National President is prepared to go to jail.

Let's talk about it:

Did some paint stripping today. First sash of four stripped outside with my heat gun. Took about 3 hours. I may try chemical Peel Away 1 on the next one. The meeting rail is rough and may need some epoxy filler.

I spent the last few days reaching out to advocates, experts and the government about Prime Minister Mark Carney’s new border bill, Bill C-2.

What I learned was…not reassuring.

In fact, advocates are warning it could create a framework for Trump-style mass deportations -- and more:
