Grande olde #yeghouse just north of Jasper on 91st. Would take a lot of love and $$$ to bring it back but it’s in a good spot.

So yeah, January rain is a thing. #yegwx #yeg
January 30th isn't on the chart yet, but it's our first rain this month.
2025 had 3 rainy days, and 1 or 2 isn't unusual.
They were maybe a bit less common before the 60s...

In a blistering ruling, a Bush-appointed conservative federal judge said that ICE "has likely violated more court orders in January 2026 than some federal agencies have violated in their entire existence."

Congress must not give one more cent to this rogue agency.

There is an old word to describe going to a foreign power and asking for their assistance in breaking up a sovereign country — it’s treason.

Do pediatricians make large profits from vaccines? www.statnews.com/2026/01/29/p... via @statnews.com

Nope. No. And nah.

Physicians "keep vaccinating, not because it’s profitable (it usually isn’t), but because it protects children."
Do pediatricians make large profits from vaccines?
Vaccine critics like to say that pediatricians profit from vaccines. This report found something very different.

Polls like this make me so frustrated. The Liberals and, even moreso the NDP, have GOT to figure out how to reach young people. There is zero reason Conservatives should be polling like this except for their opponents clearly not understanding or embracing what they should stand for.

Fine, let's talk about snow removal.
For the 5 big winter months of November-March we average around 20cm of snow. February is a bit of an under-achiever compared to its neighbours, around 14cm.
The other months can get snow, but it's more hit-or-miss.

Gusty winds brought down a healthy dose of Manitoba maple and Green ash seeds. Still lots on the trees too. These guys clog my gutters every spring.

This is a dangerous and irresponsible response.

Cheering the illegal abduction of a foreign head of state and celebrating U.S. control over another country is wrong.

Canada cannot pick & choose when international law applies. If the rules only matter when it’s convenient, they don’t protect anyone

Alberta O&G is laughing at us.

"Cleanup costs for the more than 40,000 inactive wells in the riding are estimated at $1.5 billion dollars as of 2023, according to research done by TheRockies.Life.

However the number could be much higher .. "

Had to leave my 15-min-city to get ‘rona booster at East Edmonton Health Centre. If you go there they have one sad bike rack in behind. Ride was less worse than feared but paths are far icier than streets today. NE LRT MUP was very bad. Be careful today #yegbike! #nobodybikesinwinter
