I've been here a few days now. Got some followers. Followed some people. Had some nice interactions with civilized folks. I hear self-promotion is OK in the Sky, so here are my Self-Published novels that you can pick up for pennies...

Just one question now that Andor season 2 is done: is Porko related to Porkins? Or is it the same person? Porko Porkins. Or is Porkins a nickname for Porko or vice versa?

I needed that laugh today. Thank you, sir!
Lately, whenever I see my German neighbour before midday he just greets me with “Morgen.”
Turns out for Lent he decided to go guten free

Haha! Where I live in the Seattle area, "Teriyaki" restaurants are on every corner, and they all serve Chicken Katsu...and while I take what I can get..I dream of that summer in Tokyo when a plate of Katsudon and I fell madly in love. Then I ate it.
My boss at work (40s, married, male) is an idiot. He can do his job, but he is an idiot. Yesterday, while working overtime, he was eating pork loin cutlet on katsudon for dinner and mumbling,
"I wonder what part of chicken this pork loin is?"
His question is forever unanswered.

I had no clue. But damn, I'm heading to 711 right now.
This rocks from first to last frame.
See if you can figure out what this ad from 1984 is selling before the reveal…

But wait...my father was a nuclear physicist who worked on contracts at various reactors throughout the country...so I guess that makes him a freelance nuclear physicist!
Instant recipe for "WTF" hilarity and/or creepiness: take a very serious occupation and add "freelance" in front of it. 😈

Freelance pharmacist.
Freelance nuclear physicist.
Freelance brain surgeon.

I'm going to be on bluesky a lot more now. I'm sorry to report I lost my job at the spaghetti factory. Just couldn't get the hang of the pasta cutting machine.

Those keyboards and dials! They bring back such vivid tactile memories.
I wish I could post from this machine instead of my normal computer....or at least build a modern one inside a shell like this.

I know I joke a lot on here, but on a serious note,
I need everyone to wish me luck. I have a meeting
at the bank later and if it's a success, I will be out
of debt and own everything I have now. I'm so
excited I can barely put on my ski mask.

Hear! Hear! Did reading that tale make you happyk? Were you edified or fulfilled, or just plain entertained in some way? Or did you get caught up on inconsequential details and let them ruin your experience? We can all stand to be a bit less critical these days, I think.
I really want more writers to embrace “I don’t know.” You don’t have to know how all of your mythology perfectly fits. You don’t need to know how the magic works or how the lore all connects.

Sometimes fantasy stories are just isolated little fables, best understood by the heart, not the head.

Well, apparently not if you're a deep-sleeper agent on Mars.
Zs and Alphas: there used to be a whole genre of fiction, where the first act was the main character going to his stable, lucrative job, eating well, returning to his spacious home and loving, beautiful family, and then he has a crisis from how perfect it all was.

"Is this ALL THERE IS to life?"
