If I ever had a chance to say something to Trump it would be:

May your first day in hell last ten thousand years, and may it be the shortest

It would be a shame to encourage folks to use banned book lists to do strange things like
-check them out regularly at the library
-request the library order them if they don’t have them
-buy them
-start or support banned book clubs
-organize a banned book kids story time
A real shame

Tomorrow I'm being admitted to a mental healthcare hospital and I'm so relieved to be getting help but also so scared they won't take me seriously like last time and tell me I'm lying. Feeling so conflicted but I genuinely need help so desperately I've been asking for months!

A book to match the moment.

I know that we tuned in to watch Drake’s therapy bill go up, but the STORYTELLING! Seeing a Black legend stand in the center of an American flag CREATED by the bodies of Black people in jumpsuits singing “sit down, be humble”?

I like to do this thing where I assume I’ll have time to read during the day so I carry my book & kindle w/ me from room to room when all I’m really accomplishing is giving my current reads a field trip. 😒 SIGH. #booksky

Well done for making it to the end of January.

Stop whatever you're doing and read a book to reward yourself.

If you don't have a book, then buy one from an indie bookshop, that way you'll be making TWO people happy.

Guys, I got a new enclosure, local substrate mixtures incl. a bioactive fossorial mix with Springtails, and ordered a Green-bellied huntsman 🥹 in honour of Mordred and the Dark Tower, new little guy is to be named Zoltan 🥹 I just want Mordred to be proud of how I've grown from my experience with him
This is probably a silly thing to post about but I had a pet huntsman named Mordred (Dark Tower reference) and found tonight he'd passed and I'm actually distraught 😭 I was so attached to that little man! I did a check on him 2 days ago! Anyway you can find me crying into a Squishmallow tonight

Currently reading: The Fox and the Bladesworn by Jaydell ARC
This is their second novel (after They Them Wolf - and IT'S sequel is out this year too, They Them Fae). Their books feature heavy queer rep (this one sapphic FMCs, their first a trans MC), they're indie, and deserve all the love!

Sure, being married is stressful and difficult at times, but on the plus side there’s always somebody else there to tell you when your pet is doing something cute so 🤷‍♂️

1 physical (either from my bookshelf or library) and 1 ARC digital I can read on the go. I have to have different formats or my brain gets the wires crossed between books though 😅

જ⁀➴ How many current reads do you typically have? What are the pros and cons of having one vs. multiple current reads?

Hey guess what?

• Comics count as reading (even issues).
• So do graphic novels.
• Oh wait- & audios, at any speed, OR screen-read, count.
• All age ratings, regardless of your age & all genres
• Smut, Erotica, any 🌶️, ALL count!
• Yep! Even fanfics.

So get your reading on, & 🖕🏻 anyone otherwise.

While we may face repercussions for this, the truth lies in the metadata. Memos to federal employees are being authored by individuals with ties to Project 2025. You can verify this yourself.

We're having a discussion about which interesting animal behaviour would be terrifying on a different species. The rules are

a) it can't be an immediate danger to you
b) it has to be so scary you would stop filming and leave.

Feel free to play along. The current winner is vulture murmuration.
