29 years ago today, Homer Simpson had an epic chili pepper-induced hallucination. “El Viaje Misterioso de Nuestro Jomer” first aired January 5, 1997.

Most of the sequence was animated completely by David Silverman as he wanted it to look exactly as he had imagined it.

There are many criticisms that can be reasonably leveled at the BAFTA Games Awards* but Curve moaning that Human Fall Flat has been overlooked after 50m+ sales is a bit like McDonald's complaining about not having any Michelin stars

Twitter has been shedding users in the UK for years. For a tiny minority of MPs the penny has dropped that voluntarily diving into a sewer every day is not healthy. Those still making excuses for staying are proudly announcing they're loyal to a cult.
Ofcom figures from *last month* show that more UK adults regularly access Wikipedia than X, and that X reach and usage is in steady decline: bsky.app/profile/outs...

Even if you choose to ignore all of the foul content there, it simply isn't that popular and is becoming less so with time.
Interesting headline figures from Ofcom's latest report - fewer UK adults using X than Wikipedia (or Tesco online, for that matter.) Fulll report www.ofcom.org.uk/media-use-an...

Of course, in the UK "regulators" are never really regulators. Their raison d'etre is political: to dress political goals in regulatory clothing, to act as reputational buffer zones, to gaslight outsiders like you and I into thinking regulation exists. But never, god forbid, to regulate.
Ofcom *might* "undertake a swift *assessment* to determine *whether* there are *potential* compliance issues that *warrant investigation*."

Hard to believe, but we waste almost a quarter of a billion pounds of public money annually on this absolute shower of a regulator.

The game I played last year that most exceeded my expectations was Lies of P. If you've not played it, but know the basics (Korean f2p studio's first console game, heavily FromSoft inspired, about... Pinocchio?!) I can almost guarantee that the game you're picturing in your head is absolutely wrong

Whenever people spoke about the harms and chilling effect on speech caused by the OSA, these guys were right in with "so you love child porn huh?"

Once again: there are no rules, there are no principles, there are no standards. There is just whatever these people want, forever.
Cabinet Office Minister Baroness Anderson tells the Lords the Government will keep on using X.

"I still believe that X is an appropriate platform to use because I believe in freedom of speech..."

"It is incredibly important that there is a counter narrative on those platforms," she says.

Stay tuned for more jokes that require you to know the theme tunes to early 1970s UK TV shows and brands of processed cheese
Down in the meadow where the wind blows free
In the middle of a field stands La Vache qui rit
The cow had mirth since the day of its birth
For the cow had cheese for accessories

Moo, moo, La Vache qui rit
