Went to the opening of the Ghost in The Shell exhibit in Tokyo, on now until April.

One of my favourite photographs: midnight in Tokyo, painted through my lens.
A businessman (salaryman) stands on an empty platform waiting for the last train home, in Tokyo’s Electric Town: Akihabara, Japan. The man is stood in the middle of the frame, captured from behind. The image is vertical with a cold blue sterile feeling to it. Above him and in the distance are large modern buildings, one sign can be seen briefly - YODOBASHI - one of the worlds largest electronic stores. The lights are off. He holds a briefcase and is lit up by halogen lights overhead. Overhead wires and buildings tower over him, he makes up a tenth of the image in scale. At first glance it may look like an illustration due to the colour treatment.
