Accidentally walked over six miles today but it sure was pretty. :)

I don't have the sunset lighting, but I went back this morning with my actual camera for some better quality shots before they melt lol.

A log fills the top third of the picture, just above a slightly frozen lake. Hanging from the log are about a dozen teardrop-shaped bulbs of ice that appear to have bubbles/fluid water inside. A few of them appear to have leaked, with the water that dripped out of them refreezing on top of the frozen surface of the lake. Here's my stab at the process by which these formed: 1. Normal icicles formed below the log when the cold front hit. 2. Strong winds behind the cold from created waves on the lake (I saw them yesterday). 3. Water from the waves splashed onto the bottoms of the icicles, adding mass to the bottoms instead of the tops like we're used to seeing, and creating the bulbous shapes you see. 4. the wind died down and the lake surface froze. 5. It got a bit above freezing today, so some of them melted just enough for water to drip down from the bulbs. 6. It quickly dropped below freezing again, so the dripping water refroze on top of the icy lake surface.
