[bonus: canonically, Swerve can break the 4th wall so he could possibly actually see those equations, lol, which is why he says what he says in the fic]

a lot of TF names are kinda silly said aloud but after a while you get used to them. "Ambulon," though, I can't get over this one, no matter how I say it

Blaster stood outside the door to Precision Manufacturing Club. Beneath the ship's usual sounds he heard the low, grating tones of a saw and the high pitched shrieks of a laser sight. He frowned. Well. His plans of sneaking in were dashed. But he might as well go in and see if the metal he needed was there. If not, he'd probably have to bother Brainstorm, or something equally as terrifying. To his absolute surprise, Nautica was carefully pushing a sheet of copper through a saw, face shield down. By herself. She glanced at him. With methodical precision, she paused the machine, put the safety guards around the blade, turned the “In Use” safety light from red to yellow, and set her work to the side. She pushed up her somatic face shield and said cheerfully, “Hi!” “What're you doing here?” Blaster asked. “Um.” She blinked, all cheer falling from her face. “Sorry,” said Blaster hastily. “I meant, Ultra Magnus made it really clear we couldn't use the equipment on our own.” He grinned. “Didn't figure you for a sneaky rule breaker.” “I'm not!” Nautica pulled a data card from subspace and held it up. It had a picture of her smiling face, a spot for her field print, and PRECISION MANUFACTURING CLUB followed by some text too small for Blaster to read. “I've attended all the safety protocol lectures and written summaries of them, demonstrated my competence on all five machine types and written summaries of them, and presented a small object's manufacture from beginning to end with perfect precision and safety. I'm certified to operate all type I – III machinery on my own!” “Uh,” said Blaster. “What are you doing here?” Her grin was easy, but a little suspicion had filtered into her voice.

I have some IDW(various) Mirage back refs if anyone wants 'em 💙 (2 and 4 are the same... I assume 2 is print and 4 is digital, given that Screen glare lol)
