Artists hope to preserve and rebuild Gaza’s cultural heritage
Gaza has been a place of terror, war and struggle, but also a place with a rich cultural and artistic history. Much of that has been damaged or destroyed the last two years. Senior arts correspondent ...

In light of the rampant abuse of power NZ is facing with this Govt dismantling laws that stop us being looted and taken over by big money it's probably a good time for people to check out or revisit this excellent investigative piece by Mihingarangi Forbes ... #NZPol

You know what was awesome about the pre-internet era?

Only what was truly important was broadcast to people by their leaders. I would hate to imagine Rob Muldoon would send out to the masses on a whim.

The one time he did, he lost his position as PM. Hilarious.

Went down a rabbit hole reading about Brigitte Bardot, her history and her character.

Yuck.

We ignore so much of a person's character flaws because of a fantasy of their worth driven by aesthetics.

This is the film I needed at the end of a year that can be best described as 'admiring the sunflower field as your car does multiple flips on its way to hitting a tree in slow motion'.

Everything about this was therapeutic.

I may have shed a manly tear of manliness, I'm good with that.

One of my first 'professional' shoots.

Portraits of my brothers band, the DECEPTIKONZ, in 2006 & shot in our lounge.

I had just switched formats & was learning to use my new DSLR, a Nikon D70s. Had no idea what I was doing but gave it go & it helped the usos were easy to direct & they trusted me.

There’s the PR and then there’s the truth.
Any time David Seymour appears in this news claiming to be standing with a minority targeted by prejudice and violence journalists have an obligation to remind us he accepted a donation from a man who threatened to "destroy mosque after mosque until they take me out"

The Sikh religion and wider culture will unambiguously:

- feed you when you are hungry
- give you clothes/blankets when you are cold
- shelter you when you are homeless
- organise a doctor when you are sick

Their selfless generosity is legion.

Brian Tamaki is really out-of-line and dangerous.

When survivors reacted to this so-called Epstein Files transparency, they didn’t sound shocked. They sounded validated.

Because even with a law, even with a deadline, even with the entire country watching, this pedocracy behaved exactly the way it always has.

If Clinton, Gates and all the other 'celebs' are guilty of crimes against children via Epstein, they can eat a legal shit sandwich too.

If you're a participant in his crimes, then you deserve to face trial regardless of who you are, what party you represent and whatever mountain of gold you sit on.

Someone recently asked, do you remember when voting wasn't so life or death. Bitch I'm gay! Voting has always been life or death, rights or no rights, prison or no prison GTFOH! I'm sorry I don't share your nostalgia for a time when voting was like deciding what kind of milk you like with your tea.
