Not that facts matter here, but motherfucker, I can buy protein cupcakes at the gas station
I thought this was a joke but it’s an actual post from the White House: “we are ending the war on protein”

How about ending the war on the health of this country?

I hit 6 days straight of reading and yesterday was my first day of the year not hitting at least a few pages. Was glued to the tv and what’s happening in Minnesota…

it is the policy of this government to treat democratic-led states as conquered territories and the people therein as something like hostiles or even enemy combatants

Agreed here. I definitely think it’s important to get the word out that ICE is more than just terrorizing immigrants they are being used to normalize violence in the streets against anyone
i think it is ok to reiterate that the victim as a us citizen. yes, noncitizens are equally entitled to human rights. but also, it's important to illustrate how ice isn't about immigration at all

There’s a video of ICE shooting a woman in the head.

What else do you need to see?
Let's wait for the facts to come out and demand ICE/CBP end their terror.

Big fan of this one.

The small tidbit I always bring up is when he’s at the bar and pays for a beer with a fob-like item and the cost is like $25.

When I saw it it felt fantastical but we are there! Hell….even the $25 beer
Time for the last movie of the night. Can't sleep but need to.

It’s really hard to talk about something like reading or literacy rates because people react by talking about what’s personally preventing them from reading and defending themselves — I’m tired / I’m disabled — as if it’s a story about them and not about the larger society that’s being designed.

You don’t have to give a personal testimony about your reading habits and literacy. The problem is that Americans in general are becoming less literate and literacy is one of the things tied to not just a happier intellectual life but also to one’s potential of moving up the economic ladder.
