I do not use ChatGPT because I still remember when you had to go to your local at a specific time of day to listen to someone slurring conspiracy theories with utmost confidence and I will never allow Sam Altman to take that from me

The Kingdom of Denmark has it very easy for mostly being known to practice a language that sounds like they have a potato in their mouth when they speak it, because if you ever learned about what they did and still do to the Greenlandic people, you would only wish for their downfall
"To see if you are civilised enough, if you can act like a human being."

Disgusting dehumanization of Indigenous people. Eye contact can't determine someone's ability to parent! Nor do any of the questions Keira talks about! FKU test also includes an ink blot test

The plan was leaked by the Russians and no one in America’s historically inept administration knew what anyone else was doing so people started getting behind it because they thought it was official policy.

Putin totally played the US, knowing full well he was up against incompetents and idiots.

For blood-and-soil nationalists like JD Vance, there is a “Higher Truth” that overrides all else: The “homeland” is under siege, overrun with enemies who “poison the blood.” Nothing else matters. He certainly doesn’t feel bound by facts, evidence, honesty, norms, or even laws.

Don’t waste your time fact-checking these numbers, don’t engage Vance's vile propaganda as if he was advancing an argument in good faith.

Call out the underlying political project: A violent, authoritarian blood-and-soil nationalism that defines “America” as a white Christian homeland.
JD Vance: "A lot of young people are saying housing is way too expensive. Why is that? Because we flooded the country with 30 million illegal immigrants who were taking houses that ought by right go to American citizens."

Yes, Trump dominates among the *white* working class (if defined as people without a college degree). But even here, religion played a key role: In 2024, about 86 percent of non-college white evangelicals voted for Trump – vs. only a minority of the non-evangelical white working class.

Amon white people, the correlation between racial resentment and their vote is much, much stronger than between educational attainment and political alignment.

In fact, if you control for racial resentment, education polarization basically disappears.

The next time - and we all know it will be very soon - you encounter someone babbling about "leftwing cancel culture" as an an equivalent to (and perhaps even the cause of) the rightwing assault on free speech, please remember this.
The “canceled people” database listing victims of cancel culture, which includes oft-repeated cases such as Bret Weinstein (Evergreen State College) and James Damore (Google), has a little over 200 entries across 18 years.

Trump is incapable of resisting charm, (male) charisma, and - most importantly - celebrity. He has an unquenchable desire to be near it, has been chasing it his whole life.

That's mostly it. Forget all the "He's a populist!" bullshit from both the centrist commentariat and the anti-liberal Left.
Every article by a 'savvy' political analyst reads like a focus group transcript with a low-information voter.

"his determination to challenge scientific orthodoxy"

Beyond parody. And utterly disgusting.
Breaking News: Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said he personally instructed the CDC to abandon its position that vaccines do not cause autism. The move underscores his determination to challenge scientific orthodoxy — in this case, that vaccines save lives — and bend the health department to his will.
