the fascist nakba against Palestinians has lasted through 3 teeth-grinding christmases + new years. its armed thugs killed children in Gaza TODAY. for its biggest funder + profiteer to authorize the killing of one of its own citizens + lie about it is to carry on being fascist. it is not shocking.

You can say no.
In 2026: Generative AI is not inevitable. You can say no. You can refuse. You can reject the disgusting lukewarm slop that the richest and worst people in the world are trying to force-feed you. You can tell them to eat shit and die mad. You can break the machine

and don't listen to you" then asked "so what would you do about it" and she said "feed the phones to crocodiles" so her platform has my full support

On this second-to-last day of 2025, a vulgar Canada-backed series of mass crime continues into its third year with impunity.

I have mentally pushed past my exhaustion + rage to focus on what I can do today. Support this fundraiser for a family in Gaza. gofund.me/44320e432

light a candle, eat a pomegranate, read in bed, repeat
Giving you permission to avoid that abusive family holiday function that you are fantasizing will maybe be not so bad this time.

It’s going to be just as bad this time.

This sounds clearly like it would be the ONLY option… if this city weren't run by a mayor who seems to hate the ordinary functionality of cities and people who want Vancouver to be livable and have nice things

I have had to listen to a vexing number of "But I just use it to…" and "Well actually it's better than…" lately. It reminds me of the 90s, when people would nod, smile, & "you go girl" my rants against patriarchy and then go serenely off to another lavish 5-event wedding.
“AI is clearly sticking around so you have to get used to it” wrong. I don’t have to get used to shit. I am a practiced hater and I can keep this going for decades if I am required to

It’s always difficult to help people from Gaza in Egypt- but they are generally trapped there without the ability to work- Sharif is also has a serious back condition which means he can’t even get off books work generally. But he’s still trying to deal with the medical issues of his infant son
I’m sharing a Palestinian account every day and today is Sharif. Sharif and his wife came to Egypt prior to the war to get IVF treatment- which was successful and they had twins Husam and Ahmad. Husam has a congenital heart disorder. They have not been able to go back but also cannot work in Egypt.

Progressive political coverage from Teen Vogue began to grab headlines a decade ago, in the Obama-era of progressive stupefaction + celebrity worship. Teen Vogue came as a good shock esp here in magazine-starved Canada. I hope its success will be carefully studied.
We now know that the Teen Vogue fold is more than an absorption & clearly a full shift from the pub’s DNA. Laying off the entire politics team a day before the NYC election is heinous + a knife in the back to a brand that has solidified its importance for youth. Devastating.
