Delta just sent me seven emails about the air traffic reduction. If I have to sacrifice my upcoming fun trips, that’s fine. Healthcare, SNAP benefits, and human rights are more important. I feel for anyone whose upcoming trips are more crucial than mine.

With so much talk on here about what should and should not be said in the wake of the shooting, I just keep thinking back to what he would say about me if me or some other trans woman had been executed today.
It would have been very ugly and received absolutely no pushback or condemnation.

I really don't know how to explain to cis people how much it hurts to see something like this every few days. Just so many random famous people who suddenly feel comfortable openly advocating for genocide against my community. And there's never much pushback, either.

I would strongly encourage my cis friends to read these. I am not exaggerating when I say the last ~6 months or so has been an endless cycle of watching things become materially worse/more harmful every week or so and just having to go to work or whatever and go make small talk.
People need to understand just how openly genocidal the rhetoric on the far right is getting towards transgender people. They're openly talking about eradicating us and forcefully mass institutionalizing all trans people.
These are people with direct ties to the Trump administration.
