It seems there are two main reasons things haven’t gone completely to shit in the US: 1. Lawyers and the courts; 2. Journalists and the media. Most of us can’t do anything about the first, but we can support journalism. Stop complaining about paywalls and subscribe to news & donate to public media.

The Declaration of Independence specifies 27 grievances with King George III and Britain.

Donald Trump has committed at least 16 of those same offenses.

AOC is showing what resistance looks like; Schumer, Hochul, and the rest of D leadership not so much. www.publicnotice.co/p/aoc-homan-...
AOC shows how to fight back and stand strong
Other Democrats, from Schumer to Hochul, should follow her lead.

At least Russia believes in good public transportation. Just our luck to get the crazy-ass tyrants who hate infrastructure.

James Madison wrote of the necessity of the separation of powers:
“The accumulation of all powers, legislative, executive & judiciary, in the same hands, whether of one, a few, or many, whether hereditary, self-appointed, or elected, may justly be pronounced the very definition of tyranny.”

I should watch Dr. Phibes. The trailers terrified me when I was a kid and I put it in an unexamined "never approach" zone in my brain

You reminded me that I also need to do this, but thankfully the walk gets just enough sun to have cleared itself

In 1977, Vincent Price starred in a one-man-show where he played openly gay Oscar Wilde; it was condemned by Anita Bryant. When asked about her condemnation, Price replied that Wilde had already written a play about Anita: “A Woman of No Importance”

I lived in NYC for 20 years and rode the subway almost every day. When I rode on the London "underground" for the first time last year I felt a bit cheated because it was so easy

Think I will give this a chance, exactly what I'm looking for right now
I will post my new Resistance HQ bulletin each day at 8PM ET. It is designed for people who don’t really want to watch the news right now or wade through the muck of social media to find nuggets of things that are important. It will tell you what happened that day without the BS.
