SoftBank sold its entire stake in Nvidia, pocketing $5.8 billion ahead of a rash of planned investments by founder Masayoshi Son to build his own sphere of influence supporting artificial intelligence.

I think I would honestly just not explain it. New actor, new show. Bond is, indeed, eternal.

It’s obviously not hard if you just reset. But also, if we’re taking the movies as one long sequence, the guy is, what, 95? But somehow that’s not something that has to be explained.

I think the most sensible of them is that it’s only difficult if you follow the recent style of Bond movies, which are sort of realism-ish? If we’re in the earlier movie universe it’s barely even a hiccup.

The legal distinction is biologically absolute nonsense and they should just fucking downschedule it already, but until then, there was so much abuse going on and the people producing the "legal" products from converted CBD or concentrated THC have been pulling Some Fuckshit.

But yeah, it may make producing compliant CBD-based products slightly more complicated, but it does not ban them like people are saying! The primary purpose is to close the loophole that allows finished products to contain any amount of THC after production--

I am still annoyed, because the actual solution is to just fucking downschedule marijuana already like Biden started trying to do almost as soon as he got into office, but all the stakeholders who had to weigh in are slow-walking it as essentially a pocket veto and it makes me so fucking mad

"Hemp"-derived products that contain only CBD will continue to be legal, and any state that's legalized cannabis will still have legalized (and regulated) cannabis. This is just to close the loophole that resulted in some dangerous products being technically legal.

The inclusion of the ban on THC-containing products derived from "hemp" is to close this loophole and stop allowing THC that's chemically converted from CBD. The completely unregulated market for these products has resulted in some dangerous shit being sold!

The same study also found significant mislabeling of potency (2/3 of products had at least a 10% discrepancy in dosage from the package label) and 75% of products not conducting safety or contamination tests.

So a lot of companies *say* they're using "hemp" (scare quotes because hemp and marijuana are the same damn plant) and converting the THC, but are actually just growing plants that contain the THC and using those.

What it bans is the loophole that accidentally made selling THC-containing products legal in nearly every state, as long as you started with a plant that was less than .3% THC. It's possible to chemically convert CBD to THC. The process is expensive and kinda dangerous!

James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”

Anthony Horowitz, author of three 007 novels, says:

“You can't have him wake up in shower and saying it was all a dream."
