Thank you, Jo Misinformation &misinterpretation have been desemminated by BBC convincingly to UK citizens, who may have a very little understanding of why single sex facilities are needed along with causing extreme distress, pain, anxiety to trans community. Your support&actions are most appreciated
The BBC is nakedly peddling fake news - and refusing to apologise for doing so - in furtherance of its transphobic agenda. 🧵

Moreover - there's a deliberate sleight of hand, a tricksiness, in the BBC's answer.

Their defence: "the Supreme Court decided how the Equality Act should be interpreted" is (somewhat) true. It decided what "man" "woman" and "sex" meant in that Act (as the Supreme Court's summary points out).

The EHRC's draft Statutory Guidance "would deputise all of us to police each other’s genders in public – to monitor and question how we look, how we behave, how we move through the world."
As the government stalls, TERFs are removing trans people from British life
It’s time for the left to build a culture of noncompliance.

“If gender is a construct, why does it matter?”

Something being constructed does not mean it is not real.
It means humans built it and humans can change it.

Something worth pointing out in complaints to any future articles from the BBC that mentions Sex Matters
In the interests of "accuracy" and "developments", I assume the BBC will now be updating all their references to Sex Matters to make it clear that they are under investigation by the CC?
Can't go confusing people in to believing it's a legitimate charity.
We have learned that Sex Matters - the anti trans group whose activities you are obliged to fund through your taxes - is being investigated by the Charity Commission. goodlaw.social/j4r1
