Amazing how upfront and unfiltered he is about his ongoing authoritarian project. The goal is to make sure the opposition can never win, and he flat-out says it.
Trump: "They're gonna make DC a state and they're gonna make Puerto Rico a state. So now they pick up two states, four senators. They're gonna pick up electoral votes. It's gonna be a very, very bad situation. Now, if we do what I'm saying, they'll most likely never obtain power."

Big shout out to Utah Republicans, who greedily passed a fully gerrymandered map that includes an R+2 and an R+6 district, as they watched Democrats easily overcome those margins all across the country tonight.

Such a relief to wake up to massive Democratic victories / Republican defeats. Was keeping expectations low, but have felt more hopeful ever since the Portland frog was like "eh no big deal" re being teargassed through his blowhole.

Specifically, the fear of God comes from GOP uncertainty with rejiggering maps after Virginia turned into practically a supermajority state overnight. You might redistrict yourself right out of a job
really important element of this basically total victory is that it puts the fear of god in republican incumbents and may bring the redistricting push to a total halt

These elections really should be easy Republican wins since Trump said his approval ratings are at record highs, prices are down, he’s ended 29 wars, there is no inflation, nobody likes Democrats, and everything is better than it has ever been before.
