It's always such a "very difficult decision" when a company embraces layoffs.

I'm so glad my workplace permits copious snark in my news articles when the situation is warranted.

I always said something like the Steam Machine is how Valve would finally get me, a console dyed-in-the-wool type, into their ecosystem. Well, uh, here we are.

I previewed Octopath Traveler 0 on Switch 2 and Steam Deck for @rpgsite.net. I'm a bit disappointed in the Switch 2 version so far. It is a notable step down from the DQ remakes. Fantastic on Steam Deck so far though: www.rpgsite.net/news/18921-o...

My heart goes out to every single one of you affected by these layoffs. I hope everyone lands on their feet elsewhere.
Thinking of friends at Square Enix EU/NA today -- looks like a truly awful day. Ugh. Not much else to say really

It's 2049. The hot wind pushes a tumbleweed by. It wisps away the lock of hair from our hero's face. He looks down at his holopad to check his feed. Eyes from the screen meet his. The person says "given recent tech advancements, cloud is soon to be the future of gaming" Disgusted, he flicks it off.

Here’s the reason I spoke to so many video game actors. I attended the launch of TIVA, an independently run audiobook series with all of your favourite voice actors, aiming to fight back against AI and corporations, featuring an all female/non-binary cast.

I’m stoked for this. Could very well be the last hurrah of the BOTW “era.”
Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Imprisonment (also known as Jade takes far too many screenshots of Zelda simulator) delivers when it comes to fierce combat and heartfelt storytelling.

It's a surprisingly evocative prequel to Tears of the Kingdom that shakes up the musou formula in some worthwhile ways.

My third piece for TrekMovie is up, and it’s a return to that most dreaded of Star Trek finales. TATV has its partial enthusiasts, however, including Brannon Braga and even Connor Trinneer!

See this, y’all? Tribalism sucks. Worse, it’s trite. It’s boring. It’s dumb. Meanwhile, collaborative events between studios? Rad as hell. Stop bludgeoning one game with another and embrace positivity. (Yes, I know. This is ultimately a marketing opp for them both. STILL.)

There's this one mooonster in Dragon Quest II HD-2D Remake who is probably my new favourite, which is pretty impressive, because Dragon Quest has sure had some mooonsters.

Not giving anything away, but you'll mooost likely see what I mean when you meet it.

Hamaguchi-san's been getting around something fierce. I've not had the chance to catch up with him recently, but I have penned articles covering some of the things he has said.

Each interview has brought something fresh to the table, but this one is perhaps the strongest. Check it out!

She also discussed the money corporations are leaving behind by not hiring game actors for film and TV.
