Hard to think of anything in media that regularly brings me as much pure joy anymore as the headline in The New York Times' Trilobites section.

I am broadly curious about GTA6 and the overall response to it, but boy I'm glad I help run a website where I do not have to feign any desire to write about it.

If you are seeing Square Enix AI headlines today and are wondering where they are sourced from, it's here: www.hd.square-enix.com/eng/ir/

I know why headlines are framed this way but IMO we should just say from MONACA. They have done a ton of things from numerous composers in varying styles.

Sometimes I fret about making embarrassing typos or mistakes in my reports at work. But then I see Square Enix make errors in their fiscal reports, and I feel a little bit better.

Caveating this by saying it's good to critique things you like, and I like Baldur's Gate 3 a lot. I just like it even more when companions don't treat you like a god and don't depend on you for everything

Sorry BG3, but The Outer Worlds 2 handles companion relationships way better
And sets a new standard for RPGs

I am now 60 hours into Dragon Warrior 7. Between this and I&II HD-2D, I have played so much Dragon Quest this month I am hearing the music in my sleep, at work etc.

Hey all. I wrote complete 100% walkthroughs for both parts of Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake. It's in the same style as my usual walkthroughs, minimalist and bulleted. Follow the bullets and you shouldn't miss anything. No big boss strategies or party suggestions. I believe in you~
Picking up Dragon Quest I&II? We have full 100% minimalist walkthroughs for both titles, plus complete lists for Mini Medals, Scrolls, and more.

Reviews are coming in strong.

Sorry if this is a bit sappy or even a little big-headed but comments like these, for a site run completely in our spare time, make it worthwhile.

At the media invite Switch 2 launch event before release, before the main Nintendo Direct, a random playlist of music during the event played a Golden Sun battle track. There was, momentarily, a small sliver of hope, only to be crushed and buried shortly afterward.
Today marks 15 years since the release of Golden Sun: Dark Dawn, the most recent entry in the Nintendo/Camelot RPG series. As good a time as any to revisit our feature from Golden Sun's 21st anniversary 3 years ago, where we called for a series revival: https://loom.ly/8ORj4rQ

I work every single day alongside people who speak English as a second language. I have for fifteen years. Sometimes communication is tricky but we're all human beings, here for the same thing, and we work through it. Fuck off.
Vance says it is "totally reasonable and acceptable" for people to not want to live next door to people who speak a different language than they do

My latest!

My second review-in-progress of this year where I underestimated how big and RPG would be. I defo wasn't expecting one of those to be the DQ1+2 remake, which I've put a collective 50 hours (20 DQ1, 30 DQ2) into already and haven't finished!

Scary games. They're good tho.
The HD-2D remakes of Dragon Quest I & II are significantly expanded reimaginings of their original incarnations, with more dialogue, narrative, exploration, & more. Our review-in-progress: https://www.rpgsite.net/feature/18839-dragon-quest-iii-hd-2d-remake-more-expansive-reimagining-than-i-expected

I agree with Hayes here. Dragon Quest II in particular practically feels like a brand new game. Especially coming off of DQ3 (where the party is player-created) and DQ1 (a stoic solo adventure), DQ2's interacting characters and story have been hugely expanded, let alone 'new just-about-everything'.
I'd honestly go so far as to say it feels like this entire remake trilogy exists to make Dragon Quest 2 what it is here. After feeling mixed on DQ1, I absolutely cannot believe how much I love the second game now. Quintessential Dragon Quest at its very best.

Groceries are far more expensive than most other things, and you can't "save up" to buy them.
It annoys me when people say “they’re on SNAP but their hair and nails are done and they’ve got tattoos”. It’s extremely normal to do your own hair and buy press on nails, and tattoos literally last forever. What do tattoos someone got 10 years ago have to do with them needing to eat now

We followed that up with Touhou, of course.
