The name "Popular Science" doesn't mean we shift our coverage depending on public opinion. It means we cover relevant subjects that are rigorously researched, reliable, and grounded in reality.

And trans lives are grounded in reality.

We see y'all. No matter what.

First-of-a-kind study shows encouraging data for trans kids who socially transition
Ninety-four percent of participants in a new study stood firm in their trans identity after five years, and "detransitioning" is rare.

I'm doing this again.
I'm traveling home for the holidays tomorrow, so you guessed it, that means I'm making sure my PSP is charged and ready to go.

My younger brothers are in their late 20s / early 30s and they are still asking me to help them get past tough sections in games when I visit for the holidays, lol.

The first full issue of An Evening at the Inn has been sent! Juggling a few projects, so this one is inspired by recent interviews I've done, on the inherent "coziness" of RPGs. Plus the usual aggregation, and a look at my favorite ornaments to boot. an-evening-at-the-inn.ghost.io/an-evening-a...

Random reminder to Trails-heads that the Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter remake will very likely be officially revealed on December 18 (Wednesday night in the US) at Falcom's yearly December shareholder meeting.

(I'm aware Falcom basically pre-announced it already)

Maybe we'll see Kyoto Xanadu, too.

This interview mentions both Xenogears and Jazz Jackrabbit (both unprompted).

As I have always done, I maintain these RPG release lists so those of you looking forward to next year can start to plan out what you want to pick up after the holiday break.
With the 2025 award season well underway, we've updated our list for the RPGs we can expect to see in 2026! This list will be updated regularly throughout the upcoming year: https://www.rpgsite.net/feature/16349-the-rpgs-2026-every-rpg-their-release-dates

Maybe I'm old school but when I am seeking more information on a newly announced game, I seek out the press release. These things usually have details and direct quotes! I feel that several modern news writers go to social media first.

Here I'll help - www.arcanautstudios.com/press-release

Biting my tongue on a lot of discourse today lol.

Anyways uh, vote in our poll! You should be able to change your votes if you want, too, until it closes.
The time has come. What's your pick for the best RPG of 2025? What is your most anticipated RPG for 2026? Vote in our Readers' Choice awards!

I've been doing these year-end polls on RPG Site for like a decade, and I've never seen the races this close, this late in polling, lol.
I don't usually do this, but we have gotten hundreds more votes on our Reader's Choice poll and, y'all, we need some help separating the races here. Please consider voting if you haven't!
