She's right. The gradual closing of the internet with "save the children" as a wedge issue is progressing and will only serve authoritarians.
We need more political organization around these issues - not just targeting Discord, but targeting the governments that encourage and enable this behaviour.

I’m glad to see people protesting Discord forcing IDs for age verification, but what I need everyone to understand is that there’s immense bipartisan pressure to make the entire internet like this, and they are likely going to succeed unless something drastic happens

Multiple friends have caught COVID recently, including some of my more cautious pals. There are a lot of winter germs in crowded places right now, fam. Personally, I never feel that shopping or riding transit unmasked is worth potentially getting sick. You can always renew this practice.

Listen, I'm the first one to point out the founder of Lululemon forced employees to participate in workshops from a cult (Landmark Forum) but I love that all the Olympic designs are made in consultation with Paralympians and are adaptive and give disabled people agency.
