On Easter Monday, I made it to the Roihuvuori to check on the cherry blossoms after seeing other posts online. Also, I finally remembered to check *before* the Hanami festival is organized since it's impossible to predict peak bloom conditions.
Only a small number of blossoms on one tree so far.

Everyone saying these folks should start a FOR profit consultancy so they can rake the pockets when the feds come crying back are missing a big point.
One major, major purpose of DOGE's rampaging through the system is to ingrain more situations just like this. Gov't run by private companies. $$$$$

This sums up my feelings pretty well. It's surprising how well modern tech runs. If I build a well provisioned machine in 2024 with Windows 11 it better damn well still be running fine in 2037.
