I’m reading a new (expensive hardcover) book published by Viking and have tripped over two glaring typos so far, one of which - monring instead of morning - would surely have been caught just by running basic spellcheck. 😕

Somehow our uni president got the order of Canada in spite of having locked out the faculty literally while they were still voting on a contract offer so that’s something that happened.

I have finally figured out how to create outlines for paintings from reference photos using an iPad app, which will greatly simplify the process - and save a lot of ink. Huzzah. I’ll still have to trace the outline to the watercolour paper but overall I think it will be quicker and easier.

A bit to my surprise I'm enjoying this re-telling of Jane Eyre. It's not especially stylish (so far) but it also isn't belaboring the homage aspects; it's just getting on with itself, if that makes sense.
