I've worked in mental health for a very long time, and no matter what population is being served, a universal truth is always made clear:

No amount of therapy or medication can rival the effects that POVERTY has on a person's overall well-being.

Any deficit in the bottom 2 is especially damaging.

That's part of the plan for recruiting them, in my opinion. To make them the "human shields" for whenever any form accountability is directed at ICE.
Yeah they about to throw them two Hispanics UNDER THE BUS for killing oh boy in Minnesota 🀣

My expectations were beneath the floor because it's Marvel, but I gave it a shot because of Yahya, and it didn't disappoint. This was such a brilliantly constructed love letter to the craft of acting, to big dreams, to unlikely friendships, and how they often help us to become our authentic selves.

Never seen the full movie before, but had I not seen a YouTube clip of this scene the other day, I wouldn't have gotten this reference!

Newsrooms across the world should be treating the Epstein files as a top-tier story.
If coverage is being sidelined, that editorial choice is worth paying attention to.

Therese Lee recently did a breakdown/analysis on a study out of Asia that showed how a society with too many unpartnered, aimless men (aka "surplus men") will eventually become the "bare branches" that will burn that society to the ground. Them DYING seems to be the only way to deal with them.

There are reports that the recent Epstein files include cannibalism. I haven’t reviewed them myself yet, there’s a large volume.

Over a decade ago, a Mexican model who escaped one of his parties made similar claims to press. She was not taken seriously. But she was arrested and then disappeared.

From the very beginning, America has made no effort whatsoever to hide its two-tiered justice system β€” one in which the ultra-wealthy are PROTECTED and NOT BOUND, while everyone else is BOUND and NOT PROTECTED. A country this flagrant and grotesque doesn't deserve to be saved.
About the Epstein files: if nobody is punished, the only point of the release is to show us that the rich can do any evil, disgusting thing they want and no one will do anything about it. And of course that’s already true, but to put it all out there with ZERO consequences is to laugh in our faces.

Regardless of the work they do prior to an election, in a winner-take-all system, 3rd parties win by earning 51% or more of votes. That's it. The folks who get anything lower get nothing. Other countries use proportional representation, which is more effective in a society.
January 31, 2026 at 10:23 PM
Incorrect. 3rd parties cannot succeed in a winner-take-all election system. This is why I said the election system itself is fundamentally-flawed. Every 4 years, half the population is PISSED at the other half. A nation that is struggling for one reason or another can't continue doing that forever.

Excuse me. I meant to say ANOCRACY.
January 31, 2026 at 9:03 PM
The problem is not purity politics β€” the problem is a fundamentally flawed majoritarian (winner-take-all) election system that does not allow for proportional representation. Presenting two (and ONLY two) unremarkable choices every 4 years is a damaging form of autocracy (aka semi-democracy).
Im gonna need yall to get the entire fuck on with that metaphor because its low level thinking. Saying "better candidates" is a very broad term and goes into purity politics territory.
2016 candidate-wise: choosing between metaphorically dying swiftly by being executed and dying slowly in hospice care was not "the easiest layup of choices." When voters ask for better candidates, both parties say "NO!" Simply doing what ur told by Dems also shows a lack of critical thinking.

Let's talk 2016 to present day...
Folks mumbled and complained that voting between Hillary and Trump was so hard when the reality is it was the easiest of layups of choices. Thats the problem...lack of critical thinking from voters.
True. But consider this:

"If you vote in the primary for a candidate that Black people have told you that they will not vote for (because that candidate has escalated systemic harm against Black people), and then Black people don't vote on election day? You have no right to complain."

Or...
