Saw Owen Wilson while leading a group of students through the Musee d’Orsay. Despite my pleas of “kids, he deserves privacy just like anyone”, our group basically swarmed him. He was way more gracious than we deserved, and posed for countless selfies with us.
Got overexcited when I saw Ralph Fiennes at a William Blake exhibition @tate.bsky.social & squealed: 'Look! It's Joseph Fiennes!' Still cringeing from the withering look he gave me.

In bullet belts, spiked cuffs, leather jackets, bandanas, and Iron Maiden t-shirts, the women of Botswana’s metal subculture resemble characters from post-apocalyptic cinema, like the road warriors from Mad Max.

South African photographer Paul Shiakallis’s series Leather Skins, Unchained Hearts provides a visual alternative to the stereotypical metalhead in the popular Western imagination.

This is a beautiful piece.

So many professionals I know say they are using AI literally all day long in the course of doing their jobs. Lawyers, investors, engineers, doctors. AI is as woven into their work as email. All say it’s freeing up cognitive capacity for them and none is worried about the numerous, huge downsides

Funding for PBS has been attacked, and it is worth returning to Fred Rogers’ testimony to Congress on why PBS is worth our time. Share widely, because this message must continue to be known.

The more extreme it gets, the more certain it is that the pendulum will swing back. It’s going to brutal for a while still, but I really believe on the other side of this, there is going to be a progressive resurgence that will be unstoppable.
Terrible people always exist, and always will, but I’ve never felt the level of despair I feel now. This is really bad and getting worse every day.
does anyone who’s significantly older than me want to tell me if things have always been like this? Like is this just a once-in-a-generation struggle against the worst assholes who have ever lived that we gotta do for eternity, or is this fairly unusual

Let IQ represent current IQ
Let IQ’ represent original IQ
Let m represent too much money
Let y represent years that have passed

IQ = (IQ’ / m / y) -100

Somehow I'm still shocked that official correspondence from the WH is written in the same style as his tweets, with random capitalizations, whiny thumb-sucking tangents, etc. Does he actually sit there and write letters like this himself?
Now more than ever we must all stand strong for this country.

Only by working together will we be able to get through this by building new internal and external markets, supporting our local businesses and workers and standing firm with a Team Canada approach.
