(he/him, cool with they/them)
this is some zelda trading quest nonsense
he's gonna want a xylophone, and the only way to get one is by offering a jar of spices to a fitness instructor who's hanging out in a town you can't even get to until after dungeon six
a narwhal has the spices
Should I ask him for a kayak? 🪶🌿

someone on youtube has spent the past year regularly uploading quick little sketches made by modding celeste

i kind of love them, the comedic timing is absolutely perfect, especially the abrupt endings

here's one: www.youtube.com/watch?v=z1S3...

you know it's going to be a good taskmaster episode when the podcast about it is noticeably longer than the episode itself

amazing but true:
the pyramids were built closer to the 80s than to the present day

on the one hand, i think it would be incredible if we finally made it into the world series

on the other, things famously did not go well the last time a mariner defeated a bird

books should teleport you

they should have a little window in the first page that shows a preview video swooping through the world described within

except for some of them, which contain trapped evildoers

i am seldom as invested in taskmaster as i am this season
ania keeps bringing in amazing prizes and greg keeps giving them one point when there's always lower-quality and/or less relevant prizes on offer and it is *maddening*
hashtag justiceforania, are hashtags still a thing, were they ever a thing

hear me out: what if instead of this, we turned NYT _Connections_ into a US gameshow.

you could even make it so that a few of the rounds expanded the way things could be connected - what comes fourth in a sequence, that sort of thing. Add a buzzer round at the end to keep things exciting.

the robertson-webb rotating-knife procedure is probably your best bet for a true three-person envy-free cake cutting

stromquist requires too many knives, barnabel-brams needs a whole flowchart, and ideally everyone gets a single connected piece instead of chunks, so selfridge-conway etc. are out
Those who are 35+, what advice do you have for people just entering their 30s?

today i learned that in the late 1960s there was an opera called "help, help, the globolinks!" in which a boarding school is attacked by aliens whose only weakness is music

now you have learned that too, unless you already knew it

so that's pretty fun
