One of my favorite works this year was this illustration of a pigeon on a hero's journey, commissioned by my MFA program as this year's student/staff shirt. I later made a risograph print of the image!

I’m homebound and very sore for the holidays, due to slipping on my icy driveway and giving my ribs a good smack on the concrete. At least I have been able to catch up on some important work in the Lego room. Hope folks have a decent Xmas, despite whatever life throws at you!

Been a tough day to process things, so took a break and doodled some very loose critter doodles at the neighborhood bar.

FXCollaborative’s Ministry of Taxes Tower in Baku, engineered by Thornton Tomasetti, features spiraling, stacked cubes—symbolizing rising tax brackets. This bold, vertigo-inducing monument to bureaucracy blends dramatic design with green terraces and sweeping city vistas.

You can find this whole special on YouTube and it is my absolute favorite holiday special. My sisters and I quote it all the time. The Fraggle Rock song is great. The humor is repeatedly topnotch. The whole thing is perfect. Can't recommend enough.
We’ll probably never again see such a casual, celebratory, & memorable gathering of Jim Henson’s family of characters as is found in 1987’s A MUPPET FAMILY CHRISTMAS…
